My Year of Trees
I was walking in the woods in northern Michigan when an idea popped in my head. Iād spend a year making art centered around one subject matter. Trees! The rules were simple: I could use any materials, techniques and styles as long as trees inspired my process.
It was my opportunity to get messy and make things with my hands again, after focusing on my digital art direction career for many years. It also turned out to be a timely project as the pandemic hit and I needed a creative outlet to help me process everything that was happening in the world.
